In short
- We collect little data: your email, your website, your name and phone number if you book a call, and, if you use the calculator, your ad budget and your ROAS.
- We use it to answer your request, then to follow up about MargeDaily. You can say stop at any time.
- We keep it for 3 years after your last contact, then delete it.
- Your data is stored in Europe, with LWS in France.
- We do not sell your data.
Who is responsible for your data?
The sole proprietorship that publishes MargeDaily, registered in France (SIRET 910 793 264 00029). Its full details are in the legal notice.
For any question about your data: contact@margedaily.com. Adam Arnaud, the founder, answers.
We have not appointed a data protection officer (DPO). It is not required for a business of our size.
What data do we collect?
When you fill in a form
- Free diagnostic or written audit: your email and your website address.
- Calculator: your email, your monthly ad budget, your ROAS and the number of ad platforms you use.
- In every case: the type of request, the page language, the date and time.
This information is sent by email to MargeDaily. You also receive an automatic confirmation email.
When you visit the site
- Your IP address, used briefly to limit form abuse (see below).
- The hosting provider's technical logs (IP address, page requested, date, browser).
- Audience measurement cookies, only if you accept them.
When you book a call
Booking happens on our own website (margedaily.com/rdv/), with no outside tool. We record your first and last name, your phone number, your email, your website address, the slot you choose and the page language. This is stored with LWS, in France, and emailed to us. You receive a confirmation email with a calendar invitation and a cancellation link.
When you write to us
The content of your emails and what you tell us during the diagnostic call.
Why, on what basis, and for how long?
The GDPR requires a “legal basis” for each use. Here are ours.
Answering your request
- What we do
- Set up the diagnostic and the call you booked, write the audit, send you the calculator estimate.
- Legal basis
- Steps taken at your request before a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Retention
- 3 years after your last contact with us.
Following up about MargeDaily
- What we do
- A follow-up after the diagnostic, news about the service. Only on topics related to your business.
- Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest in presenting our offer to professionals (Article 6(1)(f)). You can object at any time, without giving a reason: reply “stop” to any email.
- Retention
- 3 years after your last contact. “Last contact” means a message or action from you, not an email we send you. If you say stop, we only keep your email on a do-not-contact list, so we never write to you again.
Protecting the form against abuse
- What we do
- Limit the number of automatic emails and bookings from one connection. To do this, we store a hashed fingerprint of your IP address and the time of sending.
- Legal basis
- Legitimate interest: preventing the forms from being used to send spam or to block slots (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Retention
- One hour. After that, the fingerprint is deleted automatically the next time the form is used.
Running and securing the site
- What we do
- Server technical logs, kept by the hosting provider.
- Legal basis
- Legitimate interest: site security (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Retention
- Set by LWS, our host. We do not keep these logs ourselves. LWS data protection contact: rgpd@lws.fr.
Measuring audience and ad performance
- What we do
- Learn which pages and campaigns bring in requests. No measurement tool is active today. If we add any, they will run through Google Tag Manager, load only with your consent, and be named on this page.
- Legal basis
- Your consent (Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time.
- Retention
- 13 months at most for cookies. Not applicable while no tool is active.
Keeping proof of your cookie choice
- Legal basis
- Legal obligation to demonstrate consent (Article 7(1)).
- Retention
- Your choice is stored in your browser for 6 months, then asked again. We keep a description of the banner and each of its versions, so we can show how consent is collected.
If you become a customer, data linked to your contract follows other rules. They are set out in the contract and in the data processing agreement that comes with it.
Recipients and processors
Only Adam Arnaud, founder of MargeDaily, has access to your data. We do not sell or rent it.
Technical providers process it on our behalf:
- LWS
- Website hosting, call bookings and sending of form emails. French company, registered office in Golbey, France. Servers in France.
- Mailbox
- The contact@margedaily.com inbox, which receives your requests: hosted by LWS, in France.
- Google Tag Manager and measurement tools, only if you accept. Google Ireland Limited, with possible transfers to the United States.
Where is your data?
Your data is stored in Europe. The website, the forms and the emails they send are hosted in France, by LWS. So is the contact@margedaily.com inbox.
So are call bookings: they stay on our website, with LWS. Only one tool is an exception, and only if you accept it:
- Google measurement tools, only if you accept cookies. Google may process data in the United States, under the Data Privacy Framework.
Who can access your data?
- Only one person has access to your data. This person works from France.
Any question: contact@margedaily.com.
Your rights
At any time, you can:
- access your data and get a copy;
- have it corrected;
- have it erased;
- object to its use, in particular for marketing;
- ask us to restrict its use;
- receive it in a readable format (portability);
- withdraw your consent to cookies;
- give instructions on what happens to your data after your death (French law).
Write to contact@margedaily.com. We answer within one month. If we have serious doubts about your identity, we may ask you to confirm it.
Making a complaint
If you think your rights are not respected, you can complain to the data protection authority of your country. In France, this is the CNIL:
- online: cnil.fr/fr/plaintes;
- by post: CNIL, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France.
In Belgium, contact the Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données). In Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Cookies
A cookie is a small file stored on your device. We ask for your consent with our own banner, without any third-party tool.
Without your consent
- The record of your choice (accept or refuse), in your browser's local storage. It is necessary and is sent to no one.
Only with your consent
- Audience measurement and advertising cookies set through Google Tag Manager. None is active today, so the banner is not shown. The list will be published here before the first one.
Refusing is as easy as accepting. Refusing does not stop you from using the site.
We use Google's “Consent Mode v2” in basic mode. Until you accept, Google Tag Manager is not loaded: no Google or Meta tool receives anything.
Fonts
The site's fonts are hosted on our own server. Loading them sends no data to any third party and sets no cookie.
Changing your mind
You can change your choice at any time.
Manage cookiesArtificial intelligence
The MargeDaily service uses AI. Here is exactly how.
- Figures are calculated by code, not by AI. Margin, ROAS, alerts: everything is calculated in Python, with fixed and verifiable rules.
- AI only writes. It receives totals that are already calculated and writes the morning brief in plain language. The brief is therefore AI-generated text.
- The model is provided by Mistral AI, a French company, with processing in the European Union. Its list of subprocessors is published at trust.mistral.ai.
- No personal data about your own customers: the AI only receives totals (per product, per channel), never a name, email or address.
- AI makes no decision for you. The brief helps you decide; the decision stays yours.
On this website, no AI processes the data you enter in the forms.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. The form is protected against bots and bulk sending. Access to data is limited to the founder.
Minors
MargeDaily is for businesses. The site is not intended for minors.
